pestilence

Caly Star Adams

Whether meditating on past loves, reflecting on herself, or wading into the waters that drowned Ophelia in William Shakespeare's classic play Hamlet, readers of pestilence will lose themselves in the throes of adolescence and the layers involved in self-understanding. Adams reminds readers how and why we live alone, amidst constant change and new discoveries. Vivid and striking, these poems bring forward pain and surrender, while simultaneously declaring the looming growth necessary for living with oneself.
